I am the mom to two amazing little boys and wife to the most supportive husband. My life took an unexpected turn when a little bit of side pain turned into a Stage 4 Colon Cancer diagnosis at 33 years old. Within days of diagnosis, I had surgery, met my oncologist and was given the dreaded “2 years average” timeline. Not willing to just accept that number, my friends and family went into research mode which led my sister to find the COLONTOWN community and suggest I join. I genuinely believe that the education and support I gained from the various communities has significantly increased my quantity and quality of life.
As both of my kids are in early elementary school now and no longer need my full attention, stars seemed to align that a job became available through COLONTOWN that could use a lot of my pre-kid work experience with the flexibility our family needs and genuine job satisfaction. I have a degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of experience in computer programming with a primary focus in database development. I love using those skills to assist the Finance and Operations team and PALTOWN at large.
