CTU brings together a wide range of educational resources, including a robust library of recorded DocTalks, curated clinical trials information, and findings from COLONTOWN-originated research studies.
Spanning the full colorectal cancer journey, from a new diagnosis to the most cutting-edge research, COLONTOWN University offers trusted, accessible education created by the people who truly understand what it’s like to live with this disease. Grounded in lived experience and informed by medical expertise, CTU empowers learners to build knowledge, ask better questions, and engage more confidently in care.
DocTalks
DocTalks are live, educational conversations that connect the COLONTOWN community directly with leading clinicians and researchers in colorectal cancer. Designed around the real questions patients and caregivers are asking, these sessions translate complex medical information into clear, practical insight. DocTalks create space for open dialogue, helping community members better understand diagnoses, treatment options, clinical trials, and emerging research—so they can participate more confidently and actively in their care.
All live sessions are recorded and preserved in an extensive DocTalks library, now featuring over 100 expert conversations across a wide range of topics. Together, these recordings form an expansive digital resource that allows members to learn at their own pace, revisit trusted information, and access credible education whenever they need it.
Research
PALTOWN’s Education team conducts community-powered research in partnership with patients, caregivers, and the medical community. Drawing on the real-world experiences of COLONTOWN members, our studies – from Biomarker Education and 5FU Freedom to comprehensive guides on topics like liver mets and skin toxicity – help inform medical practice, shape education, and highlight what matters most to people living with colorectal cancer.
