May 19, 2025 – We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in the evolution of COLONTOWN, PALTOWN’s online community for colorectal cancer patients and caregivers.
This summer, we will launch a new private website and branded app for members. The platform will host our 100+ groups, along with many features to enable members to more easily access the wealth of events, educational resources, and programs PALTOWN offers.

This project has been in the works for some time. As COLONTOWN reached and surpassed 10,000 members, and as our ecosystem of disease education and training continued to grow, it became very clear we needed a customized, private space to better serve our community.
We are so grateful to Takeda Oncology, who listened to us talk about the possibilities for a COLONTOWN with room to grow and a place to thrive, and who stepped up to help make it happen.

So what will it look like? How will the COLONTOWN member experience improve? A team of COLONTOWN members have been brainstorming, building, and testing for several months now. Some of the most exciting new features include:
- Easy access to ALL COLONTOWN’s 100+ groups – each will remain private and focused, but members can quickly see and request to join any group that meets their needs
- Multimedia resource libraries curated by our trained admins and connected directly to the conversations in the groups
- Integration of all our programs – from liver met DocTalks to side effect guides to our Searching Safari trials workshop – into the daily experience of being in COLONTOWN.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get close to our launch date!
