Dawn Owen, beloved wife of Jason and loving mother of Mara and Hannah, passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2025 from complications following a liver transplant—one more step in a long, brave journey with metastatic colon cancer.
She was a deeply loved wife, friend, and community member, and her loss is felt profoundly by all who knew her.
Dawn brought light, laughter, and deep compassion into every space she entered. Her warmth was steady, her spirit generous, and her love for her family and community unwavering. Whether offering quiet support or leading with strength, Dawn had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and valued.
Dawn was a leader in the COLONTOWN community and a valued contributor. Through her involvement, she lifted others up and helped countless patients and caregivers navigate their own journeys. Her contributions will not be forgotten.
Dawn and her family found support and connection in PALTOWN’s online community for colorectal cancer patients and caregivers, COLONTOWN. The family requests that donations be sent to PALTOWN to support its many programs for patients and caregivers.
